A Christmas Carol: In the Dark

Kaiden is excited to announce his role in London Contemporary Theatre’s upcoming production, A Christmas Carol: In the Dark.

Adapted from Dickens’ beloved Christmastime ghost story, A Christmas Carole transports Scrooge, Tiny Tim and the hoard of this classic’s vibrant characters forward in time to a World War II bomb shelter.

Set in near total darkness with mere glimpses of light, this production promises to layer a new and exhilarating atmosphere to a well-trodden staple of Christmas entertainment.

Kaiden will be playing a Young Ebeneezer Scrooge, as his older self (portrayed by Christopher Lyne) looks back at his memories of Christmases past as a solider of the Great War decades earlier. Kaiden will also be taking on the role of Fred, the now-grown Scrooge’s young and optimistic nephew, determined to bring Christmas cheer to a London ravaged by the bombs of of another war that Scrooge must suffer.

Directed by London Contemporary Theatre’s co-founder, Jonathan Ashby-Rock, this iteration of A Christmas Carole promises to bring out the tense uncertainty of a true ghost story with the heart and warm of Dickens’ masterpiece.

The show will run from 3rd-15th December in South Hill Park Arts Centre‘s Studio Theatre.
