As we enter into 2018, Kaiden is once again uniting with the Icarus Theatre Collective, with whom he has performed several times in the past. This time, Kaiden will be performing in their upcoming UK and Ireland tour of Macbeth.
Kaiden appeared in Icarus’ 2011 production of Macbeth as, the rightful heir to Scotland’s throne, Malcolm, son of Duncan.
Seven years on, Icarus have become committed more than ever to closing the wide gender gap often seen in Shakespearean productions and, with some carefully chosen gender swaps, have a gender balanced cast. This move into greater gender equality sees Malcolm played by the superbly talented female actor, Charlotte Cracknell. On this occasion, Kaiden instead takes on the role of Malcolm’s younger brother, Donalbain as well as one of the wonderfully otherworldly witches that push the play along.
This version of Shakespeare’s classic tale of ambition, murder and the supernatural promises to be bloody and more brutal than ever, all while examining the differing leadership qualities between men and women.
The production will be touring to various theatres across the UK and Ireland until Spring 2018; further details and ticket information can be found here.
